Sometimes, opportunities slip by without us knowing they exist until the chance has passed.
This time however, I'm kind of relieved that things turned out this way. I wasn't sure whether that was an area God wanted me to be in, but at least now I know for sure that's not the place for me. Even though one door's closed, I believe there are still many doors for me out there. I can serve God in other ways (:.
Everytime I go for cf I go away feeling blessed. Last Friday the sermon was about intercession. there were some points brought up that I never realised. Like for example, God expects us to intercede, just as Abraham attempted to do so for Sodom and Gomorrah and Moses attempted to do for the Israelites.
I find it compelling how Moses could say to God "Oh, what a great sin these people have committed! They have made themselves gods of gold. But now, please forgive their sin--but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written." [Exodus 32:31-32] He was willing to be blot out of the book of life for the people's sake, even though he was innocent.
I was blessed by yesterday's cell and service too (:. I feel a lot more comfortable in coos now. Praise God that things are beginning to work out.
